poetry on the road 2007

After being part of an exhibition at the MoMa in New York, the generative design concept for the festival “poetry on the road” heads into its 7th year.

This time the concept for “visual poetry” is based on an earlier work of Boris Müller - The “Faust poster”: All words of all poems presented at “poetry on the road” are counted and put into an order according to the frequency of their appearance. In a second step the words which appear in several poems at a time are connected by red lines. The thickness of the lines represents the frequency of individual words. Like that visual poetry 07 visualizes objective structures which are immanent to a subjective text.
