oneone awarded at "best annual reports of netherlands"
The annual report for the VSB fonds has been selected as one of the best annual reports 2006. Especially the innovative way of working with infographics has impressed the jury to the extend that - and here one/one have opened a new chapter in the history of this competition - a new category has been created: “The annual report with the best infographics”. Therefore the report has been honoured with a special distinction on top of the award.
Friederike Lambers (oneone): “We are happy to observe that more and more companies start to see annual reports in a bigger context beyond a dry collection of facts and figures. Annual reports are distributed to stakeholders and decision makers and therefore are an important tool for image communication and brand development. For non-profit organisations such as the VSB fonds transparency of resources is a central theme with a huge influence on the own credibility. Therefore the annual report of the VSB fonds makes use of graphics which translate figures into communicative images to make the activities and the goals of the organisation visible at one glance.”
In total 124 reports from 2 categories (profit and non-profit institutions) have been submitted. Nine reports have been selected from a high-profile jury out of which two have been honoured with a special distinction.
The award has been presented on November 17 by the foundation “Grafische Cultuur” in the cultural centre “De Zwijger” - an old warehouse which has been converted into a cultural centre in the old harbour in Amsterdam.
